Chittorgarh, August 12 (HS). Additional District and Session Judge Begu has found four accused guilty while giving the verdict in the case of robbery of a container full of paan masala about 10 years ago in Parsoli police station area of the district. Each of the four accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. Two other accused have been declared absconding.
Public Prosecutor Farid Mirza told that the applicant Hitesh Kumar Meena, resident of Dakanbawadi of Udaipur district, had given a report at Parsoli police station. It was told in it that on 3 July 2013 at 9 pm, 270 cartons of Vimal Gutka were being loaded in a container from Udaipur to Kota. During this time, Hiralal, a resident of Sarada, a helper, was also with him in the container. On the way, near Gopalpura village of Parsoli police station area, a white coloured Tavera car came from behind. The Tavera car was parked in front of the container and the container was stopped. The driver and the helper were threatened and beaten and taken hostage. They dropped the truck near Nimbahera at around 2 am and looted the container full of pan masala along with cash worth 10 thousand and driving license. In this regard, a case was registered at Parsoli police station and investigation started. The police arrested the accused and presented the challan in the court. Additional District and Session Judge Begu Rakesh Goyal pronounced the verdict in the case on Monday. The court sentenced accused Zakir, Mohammad Hanif, Rashid Hussain and Gudu under section 395 to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. During the hearing of the case, the prosecution presented 19 witnesses and 73 documentary evidences. It was told that one accused Raju has died in the said case, while two accused Manoj and Abid have been declared absconding.
