Four accused arrested in Bangladeshi infiltration case being brought from Kolkata to Jharkhand

Ranchi, 13 November (HS). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested four people, including two Bangladeshi citizens, in the Bangladeshi infiltration case. All the arrested accused were presented in the Kolkata court on Wednesday. From here, ED officials have taken all four on transit remand and left for Jharkhand. Earlier on Tuesday, the ED team had raided a total of 17 locations in Jharkhand and West Bengal in this case.

Official sources of ED said on Wednesday that on the basis of evidence found during the raid, the ED team has arrested four people. These include Bangladeshi citizens Ronnie Mandal and Sameer Choudhary, apart from Indian citizens Pintu Haldhar and Pinky Basu Mukherjee. Allegations of involvement in human trafficking, infiltration of Bangladeshis, making fake Aadhaar cards, fake passports etc. against all four have been confirmed. Now ED officials will interrogate all four on remand in Ranchi.

It is noteworthy that in last Tuesday’s raid, fake Aadhar cards, fake passports, illegal weapons, documents related to immovable property, cash, jewellery, printing papers, printing machines, blank forms and documents for making fake Aadhar cards were recovered from the hideout of the accused. There was recovery. ED had registered a case under case number 188/2024 on June 4 in Ranchi’s Bariatu police station under money laundering based on the FIR registered under the Fraud, Forgery and Foreigners Act.
