Fatehpur, 25 September (HS). Former Union Minister Niranjan Jyoti reached the relief camp on Wednesday and enquired about the well-being of the flood victims. The flood victims demanded accommodation above the Ganga Katori area. On this, he asked SDM Prabhakar Tripathi to look for government land which could be allotted to the people. ADM Avinash Tripathi, who reached the flood relief camp, went to each camp and enquired about food items and other useful things from each person.
Rajjan Nishad, a resident of Jade Ka Purwa, said that the government is providing whole vegetables, tarpaulin and other useful items for food. The ADM inquired from the students about the food arrangements and the arrangements for commuting to and from school. The students said that the school is closed because it is flooded. Some students said that they are high school students and are regularly going to school. There are some problems in studying due to lack of proper lighting. The water level of the Pandu and Ganga rivers has been decreasing for the past two days. The displaced farmers say that if the water level of the Ganga and Pandu rivers decreases in the same way, they will soon return to their homes.
Former Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti went from village to village to enquire about the well-being of the people and to know about their problems. Relief material kits were distributed. ADM went to the health camp organized at the Primary Health Center Gopalganj and saw the whole day's report from Dr. Jayant and his team and enquired about the type of patients coming to the health camp.
It is noteworthy that due to rising water level of Ganga in Ganga Katori area under Abhaypur Gram Sabha of Malwan development block, the administration has set up two relief camps at Mahua Ghat Dariyapur and Khagal Baba Domanpur.
