Lahiru Thirimane: Former Sri Lankan team captain Lahiru Thirimane has been seriously injured in a car accident on the morning of 14 March. Thirimane's car collided with a mini truck in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Immediately after the accident, people present nearby admitted Thirimane to a nearby hospital, where his condition is now said to be normal. He was not seriously injured. There was a person in the car with Thirimane who was also taken to the same hospital and has also made a full recovery.
Thirimane was playing in the Legends Cricket Trophy
Lahiru Thirimane is currently playing for the New York Strikers team in the Legends Cricket Trophy. He announced his retirement before the ODI World Cup to be held in 2023, the biggest reason for his decision is the continuous neglect by the team.
