The 107th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi was celebrated ceremoniously on Tuesday at the residential complex of senior Congress leader and social worker Shambhunath Mishra in Forbesganj. The Congress leaders present on the occasion paid their respects to late Gandhi by offering flowers on his oil painting.
District President Zakir Anwar, throwing detailed light on the biography of late Indira Gandhi, resolved to follow the path shown by her. The speakers described the country’s first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as the strongest woman in the world and discussed the work done by her. He said that till the last breath of her life, Indira Gandhi kept working for the social, economic and educational development of the people at the bottom of the society. A large number of Congress leaders and local people were present at the spot.
