Lucknow, July 30 (HS). Former MP Sanghamitra Maurya, who appeared in Lucknow's MP-MLA court during the hearing of the case of fraudulent second marriage, was taken into custody on the court's order. Later, the court granted interim bail to Sanghamitra. The court has fixed the date of next hearing of the case as August 12.
Former MP Sanghamitra is accused of marrying for the second time without getting a divorce. Journalist Deepak Kumar, who has leveled this allegation against her, has said that he married Sanghamitra Maurya on January 3, 2019. At the time of marriage, the accused and her father had told that she was divorced from her first husband. Later, information came to light that Sanghamitra's divorce happened in 2021.
