Ramgarh, September 20 (HS). The issue of illegal recovery by MVI of Ramgarh was raised by former MLA Shankar Chaudhary. He also put the officials of Ramgarh district administration in the dock on this matter. DC Chandan Kumar took cognizance of this matter and also started its investigation process. But the investigation process is not moving forward due to the negligence of former MLA Shankar Chaudhary. DC Chandan Kumar has given him a 24-hour ultimatum on Friday and directed him to provide evidence related to illegal recovery to the District Transport Officer.

DC Chandan Kumar has sent a letter to Shankar Chaudhary. In which it is said that Shankar Chaudhary had said that on August 20, 2024, a complaint related to the recovery of illegal amount against the MVI of Ramgarh would be presented with the declaration of evidence. When this incident came to the notice of the DC, he started investigating the matter. He told that this matter was related to the Transport Department. Along with this, Shankar Chaudhary had also said that he has got a diary in his hands. In which the numbers of about 500-600 vehicles are mentioned. All these trucks run in the siding in the district. Some run in factories. Some transport coal from the siding to the factory. All these trucks run in overload and most of them do not even have papers. Then what is the reason, till date it has not come to the notice of the district administration?

MVI was charging 5000 rupees per month

The MVI has given permission to all these trucks to operate. They charge Rs 5000 per month from each truck. The most surprising thing is that this MVI gentleman has been transferred from Ramgarh district to Sahibganj district. Despite that, he collects money by keeping the trucks in a hotel in Ramgarh. Letter 707 was issued from the office on 22nd August to provide a photocopy of the evidence available with you for the investigation of this complaint. Letter no. 733 was sent from the office on 3rd September for the evidence. But the copy of the desired evidence has not been provided by you till now. The investigation process is obstructed due to non-availability of copy of evidence. The possibility of tampering or manipulation of evidence cannot be ruled out due to non-availability of evidence despite repeated reminders.

DC warned Shankar Chaudhary

DC has warned Shankar Chaudhary that giving false evidence, fabricating false evidence, destroying evidence, tampering with evidence etc. are punishable offences under Sections 227 to 242 of Chapter 914 of the Indian Code of Criminal Procedure 2023, regarding false evidence and offences against public justice. In particular, according to Section 236, whoever makes any statement in any declaration made or signed by him, which any court or any public servant or other person is bound or authorized by law to take as evidence of fact, which is false in relation to anything which is material to the purpose for which such declaration is made or used, and which he knows or believes to be false, or which he does not believe to be true, shall be punished in the same manner as if he had given false evidence.

Shankar Chaudhary also raised questions on the district administration

Here Shankar Chaudhary has also raised many questions on DC in a press conference. He has said that if the district administration wants, it can file an FIR against him. For which there is no need to send any message. He has said that on September 17, he received a WhatsApp message on his number, on which it was said to file an FIR under the law. Shankar Chaudhary has also raised questions on the scam of crores in the health department, overloaded vehicles, the order passed by the DC court. Along with this, he has also asked questions to the district administration on four points.
