Former minister Alamgir Alam, who is in jail in the money laundering case related to the tender scam, has pleaded for his bail in the court of PMLA Special Judge PK Sharma on Thursday. He has filed a bail petition through his advocate. The court has also taken cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the ED.
Alamgir Alam was arrested by ED on May 15 after interrogation. Rs 32.20 crore was recovered from the hideout of former minister Alamgir Alam's PS Sanjeev and his servant Jahangir Alam.
