Mariam Shiuna on Saturday (April 6) made a post on social media X (formerly Twitter) to garner support for her party PPM. He also wrote in his post that MDP i.e. India is falling into their trap but we i.e. Maldives do not need to fall into their trap again.

India had expressed strong objection to these comments. Even Boycott Maldives started trending on social media.
