Rahul Dravid will join a special panel to discuss 'Inclusion of Cricket in Olympics' for 2028 Olympics. Dravid is one of the prominent names to be included in the panel. Along with the World Cup-winning coach, ICC CEO and Dream Sports co-founder Harsh Jain will also participate in the panel. Let us tell you that the 2028 Olympics will be only the second time in which cricket will be played. Earlier, the only chance to be a part of the Olympics was in 1900. The panel will meet at the historic India House.

ICC CEO Geoff Allardice said, “We are focused on growing cricket around the world, bringing more fans to the game, providing players with opportunities to compete at the highest level and now taking cricket to Olympic stakeholders. The inclusion of cricket in the Olympics is an important step in this direction and we see Paris 2024 as an added impetus in this journey.
The long wait for Team India is over
Dravid took over as the head coach of Team India at the end of 2021 and remained with them till the T20 World Cup 2024. Under his coaching, Team India became the world champion in T20 after 17 years. Let us tell you that Rahul Dravid's tenure was for two years. His tenure was going to end after the ODI World Cup 2023, but the BCCI extended his tenure in view of the T20 World Cup 2024.
BCCI's decision proved to be correct and under his coaching, India won the T20 World Cup title. Apart from this, India also reached the finals of the World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup during his tenure.
