He was prosecuted on charges of misappropriation of funds. ED had registered a case of money laundering against officials of Hyderabad Cricket Association. ED raided 9 places in Telangana and seized many important documents and digital devices.
Allegation of financial irregularities in stadium construction
According to the Enforcement Directorate, Hyderabad Cricket Association officials committed financial irregularities in the construction of Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium. They gave contracts to private companies at high rates and caused a loss of crores of rupees to the association. ED has registered three FIRs in this case and further investigation is going on.
