Saharsa, 2 September (HS). An indefinite fast has been started by Pranjal Ranjan Kumar alias Dilkhush Paswan, former candidate of Sonvarsha assembly constituency, over 11 point demands in protest against the district administration not taking action against the District Education Officer and Executive Engineer of the Education Department.
The hunger striker Dilkhush said that the 11 point demands include suspension of the Headmaster of Middle School Dhanoj Dharampur of Mahisi Zone on the charge of embezzlement by DPO Prakash Ranjan and investigation of his reinstatement, investigation of withdrawal of money by the Executive Engineer of the Education Department in connivance with the contractor after preparing the estimate of the same work after the repair work of Apoorva Higher Secondary School Balwahat was done at school level, work not being done despite tender and investigation of the irregularities in providing mid day meal and drinking water. Dilkhush said that he has started a war against corrupt officials.
We appeal to all the people of the opposition, including the people's representatives of the city, social worker youth to support this movement so that my movement against these officers who are a hindrance in the development of our district will continue. This fast has been supported by RJD's Municipal Corporation General Secretary Rupesh Yadav, Niranjan Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Anand Kumar, Roshan Kumar, Paras Kumar, Shubhankar Yadav and other youth. We will continue our indefinite fast till the District Education Officer and the Executive Engineer involved in this scam are immediately suspended and action is taken at the departmental level.
