Senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, veteran politician and founder of the country’s well-known security agency SIS Group, Dr. Ravindra Kishore Sinha i.e. RK Sinha has passed away at his residence in Noida. He was unwell for some time and breathed his last at the age of about 75. As soon as the news of his demise was received, there was a wave of deep mourning in the political, social and corporate world. With the departure of RK Sinha, who was ideologically associated with the party since the time of Jan Sangh, the BJP family has lost a strong and struggling leader. According to information received from sources close to the family and the party, his mortal remains will be brought to Patna, the capital of his native state Bihar, for the last darshan, where people will be able to have the last darshan at Annapurna Bhawan in Pataliputra.
Born in Buxar, Bihar, the early life of Ravindra Kishore Sinha was full of struggle and achievements. He started his career as a journalist and covered the India-Pakistan war of 1971 as a courageous journalist. Since the time of ideological commitment and inception of Jan Sangh, he remained very close to the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Jan Sangh. He was considered very close to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and senior party leader Lal Krishna Advani. He played an important role along with Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan (JP) for the restoration of democracy during the Emergency. His loyalty and dedication towards the party organization is always remembered as an example.
Along with politics, RK Sinha had set an example in the field of entrepreneurship also. On the advice of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, he laid the foundation of Security and Intelligence Services (SIS) from a small garage under very simple circumstances. On the basis of his hard work, foresight and business acumen, SIS Group created a distinct identity for itself not only in the country but also at the international level and became one of the leading security and business solution provider companies in the Asia-Pacific region. Through this company, he provided employment opportunities to lakhs of youth of the country, due to which his name is taken with utmost respect in the Indian corporate world.
After entrepreneurship and social service, RK Sinha duly registered his strong presence in mainstream active politics. In view of his organizational abilities and loyalty to the party, the Bharatiya Janata Party elected him as MP for the country’s upper house i.e. Rajya Sabha in the year 2014. During his six-year tenure from April 2014 to April 2020, he raised issues of national interest and public interest with full assertiveness within the Parliament. His tenure as a Member of Parliament was very active and commendable in terms of policy matters and development work.

Through social media platforms and condolence messages, leaders have remembered his contribution and described it as an irreparable loss for the country and society. Since the news of his demise, well-wishers and political personalities have started arriving at his residence in Noida. As per the schedule, his mortal remains will be brought to Patna by special flight or road, where his followers and the general public will bid a final farewell to their beloved leader with tearful eyes.
