Basti, 05 April (Hindustan Reporter) Bharatiya Janata Party lost another loyal worker in the district. Former District President Dayashankar Mishra, who has been continuously contributing to the party as a loyal worker since 1989, joined BSP. This news had become a topic of discussion in the social media for many days, but today while talking to the press representatives in the auditorium of a hotel located on Station Road, Mr. Mishra himself revealed that he is from Lucknow with his sister Ku. He has returned with Mayawati's blessings and will sit in peace only after the coup in Basti.
Answering the questions of journalists, Dayashankar Mishra said that for 35 years, we have been continuously watering the party with our blood and sweat in the hope that we too will get an opportunity someday. When Harish Dwivedi got the opportunity to contest in the 2014 elections, he was happy that the party has given importance to a worker. Someday our turn will also come. With this hope, he contributed with all his might in making Harish Dwivedi win the elections, but he was continuously neglected. 2017 elections came, Amit Shah called and said make Harish ji win the elections, after that adjustments will be made somewhere. 2019 came, I kept waiting for the opportunity. They continued winning elections and we continued to be neglected.
In these 35 years, he has successfully discharged the role of District President and Regional President, State Working Committee member twice. Meanwhile, many opportunities came when I could have won the elections and gone to the Assembly, but they became obstacles. Well done to the zonal coordinator of BSP, he awakened the will and sister Ku. Met Mayawati. After detailed talks, I got his blessings and now I am in the public court. Dayashankar Mishra said with great confidence that all the neglected workers of BJP are in contact with him and are ready to resign and help in the elections, the situation is the same in other parties too. He said he was a loyal worker for 35 years.
Fed up with the neglect, I joined BSP. He also said that the party people are making every possible effort to create pressure but I have only one question for them, what have we achieved in 35 years? Do the calculations and take back whatever is increasing, otherwise do not drink my blood. Also said that after getting the ticket, I called Harish Dwivedi thrice to congratulate him, he neither picked up the phone nor called back. They don't have enough moral courage to come to our door and say don't contest elections. Courage is not found in the market, for this one has to respect the dedication of the workers and supporters and they also have to make way for them to move forward. Only time will tell how much Dayashankar Mishra will be able to make inroads among the voters amidst Harish Dwivedi and Ramprasad Chaudhary, who have become the two main pivots in Basti politics. In the press conference, Zonal Coordinator Udaybhan, K.K. Many workers were present along with Gautam and Jaihind Gautam.
