Formation of Expert Committee is the first step in a series of improving the efficiency of the examination process: Education Minister

New Delhi, June 22 (HS). Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has described the expert committee constituted by the Ministry of Education to monitor the conduct of examinations as the first step in a series of steps taken to improve the efficiency of the examination process.

The Union Education Chief said in a post on Twitter that transparent, tamper-free and zero error examinations are a commitment. The formation of a high-level committee of experts is the first step in a series of steps taken to improve the efficiency of the examination process, eliminate all possible malpractices, strengthen data security protocols and reform the NTA. Student interest and their bright future will always be the top priority of our government.

The Ministry of Education has constituted a high-level committee of seven experts to make the examinations transparent, ensure smooth and fair conduct. This committee will submit its report to the ministry within two months. The move to form an expert panel has been taken amid the controversy over alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Exam 2024.

Dr K Radhakrishnan, former ISRO chairman and chairman of the board of governors of IIT Kanpur, will lead the panel of seven experts. Other members of the team include former AIIMS Delhi director Dr Randeep Guleria, Hyderabad Central University vice-chancellor Prof BJ Rao, IIT Madras civil engineering department professor emeritus Prof Ramamurthy K, People Strong co-founder and Karmayogi Bharat board member Pankaj Bansal, IIT Delhi student affairs dean Prof Aditya Mittal and education ministry joint secretary Govind Jaiswal.
