Varanasi, June 18 (HS). State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that for the first time after independence, in 2014, the farmer became a part of the country's political agenda. Efforts were started to change the lives of farmers and increase their income manifold through several schemes ranging from Soil Health Card to Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, and today its results are being seen.
He said that when Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister for the third time, the first thing he did was to sign a file dedicated to the farmers who provide food to the nation and today, crores of farmers are getting the gift of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi from PM Modi.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Kisan Sammelan organized in Varanasi Mehndiganj on Tuesday. In the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (more than 20 thousand crore rupees) online to the accounts of 9.26 crore farmers. Also distributed certificates to Krishi Sakhis. CM Yogi honored PM Modi by giving him a shawl and a memento.
Welcoming the Prime Minister in the program, the Chief Minister said that this opportunity has come for the first time after 62 years, when a politician of the country has brought about a vast change in the lives of every section on the basis of his work and has won for the third consecutive time on the basis of popularity and has taken oath as the Prime Minister. Through his works, the glorious son of Maa Ganga, Narendra Modi has given India a new identity in the world. Chief Minister Yogi said that we have seen the changing Kashi.
