For the development of Indore, all construction agencies should work by making a systematic plan: Vijayvargiya

Bhopal, March 15 (HS). Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that all construction agencies need to work together for the planned development of Indore city. He also directed to complete all the development works of the city within the time frame.

Minister Vijayvargiya was addressing the meeting held at Mantralaya on Friday regarding the development of Indore city. On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Mayor Indore Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Mahendra Hardiya, Madhu Verma, Ramesh Mendola and Rakesh Golu Shukla were also present.

Urban Development Vijayvargiya said that TDR Council can be formed for the rapid development of Indore city. Municipal corporation and city and village investment officials can be included in this. He said that with the development of the city, it is also necessary to have organized traffic. For this, an experienced company can be hired to prepare a traffic management plan. Along with providing basic facilities to the citizens, he also stressed on the expansion of Sanjeevani Clinic to expand health facilities in Indore city.

Water Resources Minister Silavat laid emphasis on the promotion of programs centered on the life of Ahilya Devi along with the upgradation of Indore Stadium. Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava gave useful suggestions regarding land acquisition in urban plans.

Indore Development Plan-2041

The master plan of Indore was also discussed in the meeting. It was told in the meeting that the draft of Indore's master plan will be completed by June 2024. Indore will be developed as a world class city. The city will be developed keeping the continuity of the cleanest city. Keeping in mind the population balance of the city, growth centers and satellite towns will be developed in the metropolitan area.

Discussion on other plans

Indore Metro was discussed in the meeting. The cost of Indore Metro is Rs 7,500 crore. It will be completed in three phases. The issue of re-development of the city's Ring Road, elevated corridor and Hukumchand Mill complex was also discussed in the meeting.

Indore Municipal Corporation should make efforts to increase income

Minister Vijayvargiya said that the state government will provide adequate funds for the development of Indore. He asked other departments of the Municipal Corporation to pay attention to the recovery of outstanding amounts. He said that boards of various agencies of Indore city should be put up on the roads to show which agency is maintaining them. The name of the liaison officer should also be mentioned in the board. This system will provide convenience to the citizens. Principal Secretary Mandloi said that a grant amount of Rs 1500 crore has been received from the Central Government for the development of Indore city. The public representatives present in the meeting welcomed it.
