Jaipur, 23 October (Hindustan Reporter). In view of the festive season, the food safety team formed by Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has collected samples of ghee and sweets from various establishments and sent them to the Food Laboratory, Jaipur for testing.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Jaipur (First) Dr. Vijay Singh Faujdar said that on Wednesday, ghee was purchased from Shyam Traders, Hasanpura, sweets from Reliance Retail, Mawa sweets from Bikaner Sweets, Hasanpura, Khandelwal Sweets from Hasanpura Sweets. Food samples of oil and chhena sweets, mawa and sweets were taken for testing from Shri Shyam Paneer and Sweets, Vidyadhar Nagar.
During this, shopkeepers were given instructions to take special care in maintaining cleanliness in their shops during Diwali. Besides, instructions were given to use only mawa prepared from high quality milk in sweets. All establishments were restricted to keep kitchens, utensils, floors, walls, counters etc. clean and to keep food items covered. The food samples taken there have been sent to the Food Laboratory, Jaipur for testing. After receiving the investigation report, further action will be taken as per the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
