Dhamtari, 30 October (HIST). Keeping in view the Diwali festival, the Food and Drug Administration Department inspected the food premises in the district on October 30 and gave necessary guidelines. During the inspection, it was advised not to sell such food items in grocery stores without batch number, which do not have manufacturing date and expiry date.
The team of the department visited Veeram Stores Nagari, Zaika Jahan Dhamtari, JC Chocolate Dhamtari, Jatin Trading Dhamtari, Gopi Dairy Dhamtari, Om Provision Stores Dhamtari, Shri Bhagwati Bakery Dhamtari, Amar Provision Stores Dhamtari, Jain Super Bazaar Dhamtari, Shell Super Mart Ratnabandha, Ramjanaki. Transaction center Ratnabandha was inspected. Mahanaganeshi Bikaner Sweets Kurud, Anuradha Sweets Kurud, Krishna Sweets Kurud, Shubh Dairy Bhakhara, Krishna Dairy and Dailyneeds Bhakhara, Gaurav Super Collection Magarload, Nishad Grocery Stores Megha were inspected and gram flour laddu, sweet cake, peda, Samples of Amul Fresh, Vanaspati Ghee, Sugar, Flour, Mysore Pak, Rasgulla, Sonpapadi, Khowa, Gram Flour, Paneer, Milk, Edible Oil were collected.
Food Safety Officer Akshay Soni said that the said items were collected and sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory, Kalibari, Raipur for testing. Also, food businessmen should ensure proper cleanliness of food premises and places where food items are manufactured, use quality food items in making sweets and snacks, and not use inedible colors in any manufactured sweets or food items.
