Fog in entire North India including Delhi: Flights and trains affected

Dense fog is blanketing entire North India including Delhi and NCR. Due to which visibility has reduced and public life has been affected. The schedules of many flights and trains have been disrupted.

The air quality index in Delhi and NCR has crossed 411 for the last three days, indicating severe to very severe levels of toxic air pollution. The bone-chilling cold and dense fog made people uncomfortable. People faced problems in transportation due to low visibility. Fog wreaked havoc in many cities of North India and millions of people got trapped in the dense fog. Trains and flights were delayed due to low visibility. 25 flights coming to Delhi were delayed. More than 50 trains were delayed. There was a rush of passengers at airports and railway stations due to delayed planes and trains.

Timings of government offices in Delhi have been changed

Due to increasing air pollution in Delhi and reduced visibility due to smog, the timings of employees in Delhi government offices were changed. Delhi CM Atishi said on Thursday that the office timings of the Municipal Corporation, Central Government and Delhi Government have been changed. According to which the office timings of Delhi Municipal Corporation have been changed from 8.30 am to 5 pm. The timings of Central Government offices have been changed from 9 am to 5.30 pm and the timings of Delhi Government offices have been changed from 10 am to 6.30 pm.
