Focus on modernization of power system in Ujjain, employees and officers get wireless facility

Indore, June 28 (HS). The power distribution system of Malwa's second largest city and divisional headquarters Ujjain is being modernized. Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company Indore is also carrying out infrastructural development work under RDSS to increase the capacity of power lines, transformers, grids. Along with this, wireless facility was also inaugurated in the auditorium located in Jyoti Nagar on Friday.

Company's technical director Sachin Talewar officially inaugurated the wireless facility on Friday in the presence of chief engineer BL Chauhan, superintending engineer PS Chauhan etc. He also discussed with the grid operators on the spot. All the 33/11 KV grids of the city, zone in-charges, STC, STM, control room, smart meter officers etc. have been equipped with wireless sets from Friday. This facility will facilitate matters like supply improvement, direct conversation with more than one personnel at the same time, sending messages immediately etc.

On the occasion of inauguration and meeting of city related electricity officers, Director Technical Sachin Talewar said that electricity supply should be as per the norms of State Government, Central Electricity Authority, MP Regulatory Commission. Every officer should be serious about this. He instructed to pay more attention to timely maintenance and preparations before rains and festivals.

Talewar said that if electricity is cut off in a selected area due to heavy weather changes or maintenance, then the consumers, resident associations and consumers of the affected area should be informed on time through SMS, WhatsApp groups etc. He also asked the Superintendent Engineer and Executive Engineer to cross verify the maintenance works and review the supply every month, increase consumer facilities and resolve complaints promptly. The Technical Director also called for giving information to more and more people about roof top solar and motivating them for solar energy. On this occasion, Executive Engineers CA Thakar, Jayendra Thakur, Satish Kumrawat, Amresh Seth and Zone Incharge were prominently present.
