Flying squad officers deployed for malpractice free event

To conduct the Intermediate and Matriculation Annual Examination 2025 of Bihar Board in a malpractice-free manner, the Education Department has appointed flying squad officers. These officers will play an important role in the conduct and monitoring of the examination. They have been posted in various districts, and are lecturers in teacher training institutes like DIET, BYTE, PTEC, CTE.

Responsibilities of flying squad officers

  1. To ensure malpractice free examination.
  2. Monitoring of withdrawal of question papers from the treasury.
  3. Keep a close eye on suspicious activities.
  4. Ensuring presence of police and magistrates.
  5. Solution to adverse situation at examination centres.

Total officers:

  • An officer appointed in every district.
  • A total of 38 officers deployed for the smooth conduct of the examination.

It is mandatory for officials to report to the district by 30th January

The Education Department has directed that all the nominated officers should reach their allotted districts by 30 January 2025.

  • The officers will camp in the district headquarters till the end of the examination.
  • They will have to submit reports of their daily work to the headquarters and senior in-charge.
  • Confidentiality and Withdrawal of Question Papers:
    • The presence of the officer will be mandatory while taking out the question paper from the treasury.

Tour and Coordination:

  • Vehicle facility for visiting the examination centers will be provided by Bihar Board.
  • To solve any problem, officials will have to coordinate with the local police and administration.

Exam schedule and number of students

Intermediate Exam (Class 12):

  • Exam Date: 1st to 15th February 2025.
  • Total examinees: 12,89,601.

Matriculation Examination (Class 10):

  • Exam Date: 17th to 25th February 2025.
  • Total examinees: 15,81,079.

Meeting on preparation of flying squad

  • Bihar Board will soon organize a committee level meeting.
  • In the meeting the officials will be informed about their duties and responsibilities.
  • Information about the meeting will be given to the concerned officials in time.

Steps towards safe and fair examination

This time the department has made strict arrangements to ensure malpractice-free examination. The deployment of flying squad officers and their responsibilities are clearly defined. This will not only ensure uninterrupted conduct of the examination, but will also ensure that students get the opportunity to take the examination in a fair environment.
