Brazil: Heavy rains have wreaked havoc in Brazil, causing floods and landslides. The most devastation is being seen in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. Due to heavy rains here, roads have been badly damaged at many places. Thousands of people are being forced to leave their homes due to floods.
More than 57 people have died due to rain this week in Brazil. Along with this thousands of people are missing. The rescue team is engaged in rescue work. The devastating floods have affected 281 municipalities and left at least 74 people injured, according to the latest data shared by Civil Protection on Saturday.
The local government has declared a state of disaster in the areas where more than 67,000 people have been affected. Nearly 10,000 people have been displaced by the floods and more than 4,500 are in temporary shelters.
