Nawada, June 18 (HS). Kotna in-charge Ajay Kumar arrested all the five accused involved in the murder of Budhauli Panchayat head Pappu Manjhi, four days ago, within 24 hours on Tuesday, after returning from leave.
Five cartridges along with the pistol used in the murder have also been recovered from the house of shooter Nikhil Vishwakarma. For this success, SP Kartikeya Sharma congratulated the police station in-charge Shahid and the entire team. Giving information about the incident during a press conference held on Tuesday, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Mahesh Chaudhary said that the current Mukhiya of Budhauli Panchayat, Pappu Majhi, was shot dead while sleeping in the premises of Inter Vidyalaya Budhauli.
The weapons recovered include one country-made pistol, two live cartridges, one empty cartridge and two cartridges filled with gunpowder. The arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody and further action has been initiated. Police station in-charge Ajay Kumar is being praised in the area for filing a case of murder and arresting five criminals involved and sending them to jail.
