IPL 2025: Before IPL 2025, all the franchises had to declare the list of retained players by October 31. In which 10 franchises have retained a total of 46 players. Even though franchises give priority to bowlers in IPL, the three biggest amounts are given to batsmen. So here are some names that have emerged, which were expected to remain intact.

Mohammed Siraj- Royal Challengers Bangalore

Mohammad Siraj plays for India in all three formats – ODI, Test and T20. Along with Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj is the only Indian bowler to have played in all three formats. Royal Challengers Bangalore, which retained Yash Dayal, has released Siraj.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar- Sunrisers Hyderabad

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad for a long time. Bhuvi, who has won the Purple Cap for two consecutive seasons in the IPL, swings the ball both ways. The franchise was retaining him before the last mega auction. But this time he was released.

Mohammed Shami- Gujarat Titans

Indian team's main fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been injured for a year. He did not even play the last season of IPL. However, there is every hope that he will be fit before the next season. Even after this, Gujarat did not retain Shami.

Yuzvendra Chahal- Rajasthan Royal

Yuzvendra Chahal is the most successful bowler in IPL history. Apart from him, no other bowler has 200 wickets in his name. Chahal has the power to trouble the batsmen in any situation. The big question being asked is why Rajasthan did not retain Chahal.

Arshdeep Singh- Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings have retained only two players before the auction. Arshdeep Singh's name is not there in this. At present Arshdeep is India's leading bowler in T20. World Cup winning heroes are also included. Still, not keeping it is also a question.
