Ranchi, September 06 (HS). The court of Judicial Magistrate Shruti Soren on Friday, while hearing a seven-year-old case related to dowry harassment, acquitted five members of a family facing trial due to lack of evidence.
It names the informant's husband Parvez Alam alias Vicky, his brother Tabu alias Ricky, Tabrez alias Bunty, Sajid and Roshan Ara. The informant had lodged an FIR in Lower Bazar police station in 2017, five years after marriage, regarding dowry harassment. During the testimony, the informant's mother told the court that her daughter had died six years ago. Apart from this, no other witness in the case reached the court, which benefited the accused.
