Five hundred sisters applied tilak to brothers behind bars

Jaipur, 3 November (Hindustan Reporter). Bhai Dooj was celebrated in the Central Jail on Sunday. More than 550 sisters reached the Central Jail to apply Tilak to their brothers on Bhai Dooj. In view of the increasing crowd, special arrangements were made by the jail administration. On this occasion, an emotional atmosphere was visible in the jail premises. In the jail premises, the sisters applied tilak to the brothers from between the bars and fed them sweets and wished for their long life.

Jaipur Jailer Rakesh Mohan Sharma said that due to security reasons, the sisters who came to apply Tilak in the jail on the occasion of Bhai Dooj were not allowed to enter the jail premises without checking. Actually, there is time for prisoners to meet in jail two to three days a week. But in view of the festival, the jail administration gave some relaxation for the visit. The sisters who came to apply tilak were given time from 4 to 5 pm to meet their brothers. The jail administration thoroughly checked the belongings of the sisters who came to apply tilak in the jail. Along with this, arrangements for sweets were also made in the canteen built in the jail. So that the prisoners can take sweets from the canteen.

Additional policemen deployed for security

In view of the crowd of sisters coming to the jail on Bhai Dooj, the jail administration made elaborate preparations a day in advance. The jail administration did not allow anyone entry into the jail premises without a slip and seal. Along with putting slips and stamps, arrangements were made for additional policemen to search the luggage.

Sisters could not stop their tears

While applying tilak to her brother standing behind the bars, the sisters could not stop their tears and looked very emotional. Seeing his sisters crying, the prisoner brother also had tears in his eyes. The sisters made their brothers take an oath not to commit any crime in their farewell.
