Araria, September 07 (HS). The five-day long Shri Ganesh Mahotsav was inaugurated on Saturday at Shri Laxmi Narayan Marwari Thakurbari situated at LN Path, Forbesganj. The worship of the idol of Lord Ganpati in the temple began with the chanting of Vedic mantras. On the occasion, under the leadership of Mahant Pandit Angad Dubey, Abhishek Dubey, Anil Pathak, Devashish Pathak of the Thakurbari, the main host Girish Kedia and his wife Neetu Kedia jointly inaugurated the festival by performing worship and archana.
On this occasion, Puja Committee Convenor Pawan Sharma and President Bhupesh Agrawal said that on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the festival, this time the idol of Mahaganpati Maharaj by Kolkata's sculptor Khokhan Pal and Sunil Kumar, Badal Mundhra has become the center of attraction among the devotees. He said that every day in the evening, a grand feast of kheer and laddu and fruit savamani will be offered to Lord Shri Ganesh. Along with this, musical aarti and bhajan-kirtan will be organized every day.
