Five arrested with weapons

Ranchi, 01 August (HS). Lapung police station has arrested five criminals with weapons. The arrested criminals include Sadiq Ansari, Sonu Ansari, Ketabul Ansari, Suraj Minj, Prince Abhijeet. A country-made pistol, four mobiles, a wire cutter, a Bolero vehicle and an Omni vehicle have been recovered from them.

DSP Amar Kumar Pandey said on Thursday that a secret information was received that five people are going from Beddo to Lapung in an Omni vehicle, who have illegal weapons. They are going to commit a crime. After the information, a team was formed including Lapung police station in-charge Santosh Kumar Yadav and police station armed forces. Also, the team was ordered to check the vehicles. The team started anti-crime checking near the community sub-health center of Kakriya in Lapung. In the same sequence, an Omni and Bolero pickup vehicle was seen coming, when it was signaled to stop, one person managed to escape by answering, but on searching both the vehicles, five people were found sitting. On investigation, weapons and other items were recovered from them. During interrogation, the criminals caught told that they have committed many incidents of theft in the past.
