Bijnor, September 19 (HS). The city police station Kotwali police arrested five accused on Thursday and succeeded in recovering stolen cars and a large amount of scrap from them.
In the above case, the Additional Superintendent of Police said that during checking by the City Kotwali SWAT and Surveillance Team, Arif son of Jamshed resident of Mohalla Rehmat Nagar Police Station and Town Kotwali District Muzaffarnagar, Sameem son of Naseem resident of Mimrala Road Kutti Machine Wali Gali Police Station Kotwali District Muzaffarnagar have been arrested along with a Honda City Car, in which the car's registration number plate is affixed. Apart from this, other number plates have also been found on the seat of the car.
He told that on questioning both of them, they told that they had stolen the vehicles from Bukhara Mohalla of Bijnor city three days ago. They informed that after stealing the vehicles, they used to sell them to their friend Mohsin son of Iqbal Ahmed resident of Rishikesh police station Shyampur Uttarakhand, who used to cut the vehicles into parts and sell them. He has stolen and sold three vehicles including two Honda City, which will be found if they are not cut.
The police raided Mohsin's warehouse in Rishikesh and recovered a dismantled Honda City and the engine of another vehicle. The police recovered two stolen cars, three dismantled cars, 40 stepneys, a large quantity of dismantled vehicle parts and 5 tonnes of scrap from Mohsin's place. He said that besides garage owner Mohsin, his associates Izhar, son of Haji Nisar, resident of South Civil Line Takiya Ansariyan, Civil Line Police Station Muzaffarnagar, and Farukh, son of Yakub, resident of village Khedi Karamu, Shamli Police Station District Shamli, have been taken into custody.
