Five and a half crore saplings will be planted in the state under the campaign “One tree in the name of mother”: Chief Minister

Bhopal, June 27 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign in Madhya Pradesh will be successful with public cooperation. Efforts are being made to get maximum public participation for the campaign. Many organizations are joining the campaign in two big cities of the state. While a pledge has been taken to plant 51 lakh saplings in Indore district, 12 lakh saplings will be planted in a single day at various places in the district including the capital Bhopal. 12 thousand saplings will be planted in Bhopal district in honor of “Maa”. The remaining saplings will also be planted at various public places. In Bhopal, the work of planting saplings under the campaign will be started on July 6, the birth anniversary of nationalist thinker, educationist and founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was reviewing the preparations for the campaign in a special meeting at the ministry on Thursday. He received information about the preparations for the campaign from public representatives and senior officials.

Provide information about heritage to students

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that connecting the youth with the plantation campaign and telling them the importance of the environment is commendable. Along with this, work should also be done to connect the students with heritage. Bhopal District Tourism Council and other institutions should take the students on a tour of places of archaeological importance, science museum and other museums. Such vibrant efforts should be made in Bhopal so that the capital becomes a model and is discussed in other places. He directed to prepare a road map for the development of the district.

The Chief Minister said that full cooperation of Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar and other organizations should be taken for the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. In the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed to organize a program with huge public participation at one place. He said that all the technical preparations required for planting trees should be completed.

Action plan for plantation in Bhopal

About 350 sites have been selected for plantation in Bhopal. These mainly include Kaliyasot Dam, Adampur Khanti, Kirat Nagar, Kempa Plantation Mugalia Kot, Samardha Jungle Range and Kalara Berasia. The target is to plant trees in a total area of ​​480 hectares. “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and “Green Festival” campaigns are also being promoted in Bhopal as “Ek Vriksha Bhopal Ke Naam”. Under this, extensive plantation will be done. The capital will be decorated with lush green plants. On July 6, 12 lakh saplings will be planted in Bhopal in a day under extensive plantation. Every person will be connected with plantation. Along with Bhopal city, saplings will be planted in the entire Bhopal district as well. “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign is being implemented in the entire state.
