First heavy rain in the national capital Delhi, a part of the roof of Airport Terminal-1 collapsed, one person died, eight injured

New Delhi, June 28 (HS). A portion of the roof of Terminal-1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport in Palam collapsed amidst heavy rain in the national capital Delhi this morning. Three vehicles that came in its grip got buried under the debris. One person died and eight were injured in this accident. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade and airport staff rushed everyone to the hospital. The fire brigade control room has confirmed this. Earlier, fire department director Atul Garg had said that many vehicles have been damaged.

According to the Delhi Fire Department, a report of a part of the roof collapsing was received at around 5:30 am. Three vehicles were immediately dispatched. It was reported that a part of the roof of IGI Airport's T-1 suddenly fell down. Due to this, taxi drivers standing there got trapped. However, nothing has been said about whether flights have been affected due to this accident or not.
