First FIR in BNS: The first FIR under the new law was registered on Monday (1 July) at Kamala Market Police Station in Central Delhi under the Indian Penal Code (BNS). Late night, a police team patrolling saw that a person near New Delhi Railway Station had placed a wooden log in the middle of the road. He was selling water and gutkha on it. Due to this, people are facing problems in movement. Police have registered the first FIR against this person under BNS.
The police often used to ask the vendor to move away with a stick so that the road is cleared and people do not face any inconvenience. However, he kept ignoring the policeman and went away citing helplessness. After this, the police asked his name and address and registered an FIR under section 285 of the new law BNS. This is the first FIR registered under this law.
