After this, Chirag Paswan entered politics and started his political career in 2014. In 2014, Chirag from Lok Janshakti Party entered the Lok Sabha by defeating Sudhanshu Shekhar Bhaskar of Rashtriya Janata Dal from Jamui seat by more than 85,000 votes. Then in the year 2019, he defeated Bhudev Chaudhary by 528771 votes. In 2024, Chirag has scored a hat-trick of victory from the Hajipur seat inherited from his father. He defeated Shivchandra Ram of RJD by 1,70,000 votes. In this election, Chirag Paswan's party has won all five seats.
