Gopal Arbat narrowly escaped in this incident. Arbat has lodged a report of firing at Dariyapur Police Station. Police are searching for the absconding accused with the help of CCTV.
Gopal Arbat told journalists on Tuesday that he was returning via Balgaon-Dariapur route on Monday night. Suddenly, unknown people fired three rounds at his car in Dariyapur and fled away. Arbat has expressed apprehension that the firing on his car was done at the behest of Shiv Sena Shinde faction's district president Arun Padole. Arbat has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter. According to the police, three rounds were fired at Arbat's car at the spot. Police is investigating this matter from every angle. This firing incident has spread tension in Amravati district.
