Firing on convoy of 200 Shia vehicles in Pakistan: 50 killed

Islamabad: The condition of Pakistan, which exports terrorism to the world, has now worsened. Fifty people, including five children and eight women, have died in a terrorist attack in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This attack took place on a passenger van in Lower Kurram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. More than 20 people including a police officer and women have been injured in this attack.

When a passenger van was passing through Ochut Kali and Manduri in Lower Kurram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the terrorists already present there started indiscriminate firing on the van. Officials said that the convoy of about 200 passenger vehicles was going from Parachinar to Peshawar when it was attacked.

Most of the people killed in the attack belonged to the Shia community. A local journalist said that the vehicles were attacked in an area dominated by the Taliban.

According to Pakistani media, Dr. Ghayur Hussain, officer of Tehsil Mukhullai Hospital Alizai, has confirmed the attack. Officials said that 14 of the dead did not have any identity cards. Therefore he could not be identified. We are trying to contact their relatives.

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari strongly criticized the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. On the other hand, PPP in a post on social media platform X said that attacking innocent tourists is a cowardly and inhuman act. Those responsible for this incident should be punished. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur criticized the attack. He also directed to create a provincial highway unit to ensure the safety of people on all roads in the province.
