Kathua 19 May (Hindustan Reporter) Fire has been raining continuously from the sky for the last four days. Even on Sunday the temperature crossed 42 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is likely to be around 45 degrees Celsius in the next week.

People got some relief in the evening due to light breeze on Sunday evening, but be prepared to face the heat for the next few days. Due to the scorching heat, life has become difficult for people. At the same time, summer holidays have not yet started in schools, but due to the fire raining on the roads, people have to be confined to their homes, in such a situation, to get relief from the heat in the houses, ACs, coolers, banks of running water and dense forests are being used. The shade of trees is the only support. Due to this, the city residents are now trying to get some relief by going to Dreamland Park on the banks of Kathua Canal. According to the senior scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kathua, there is no possibility of respite from the heat till next week, the temperature is likely to cross 45 degree Celsius. No crop will be harmed by the heat, but vegetables need regular irrigation to withstand this extreme heat.
