Fire broke out in Bichali godown, three shops burnt to ashes


Dhanbad, June 13 (HS). A fire broke out in the Bichali godown located in Barmasiya of Sadar police station area on Thursday morning, creating a stir. The fire also engulfed three other shops nearby. Three fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire. A cattle has been burnt in the fierce fire. It is estimated that the fire has caused a loss of lakhs of rupees.

Regarding the incident, it was told that when the fire broke out, everyone was sleeping in their homes. Then someone saw the fire and woke up people by shouting. People came out of their houses. Local people informed the police and fire department. A vehicle loaded with bichaali was also standing there. The local police reached the spot and somehow evacuated the vehicle loaded with bichaali. Three fire department vehicles controlled the fire after a lot of effort. One cattle was burnt in this fire. Apart from the warehouse, three shops were burnt to ashes in the fire.

The victim shopkeepers Prem Kumar and Santosh Rawani said that the fire incident happened at around 3 am in the morning. The fire probably started due to a short circuit. Three shops and all the goods kept in them were destroyed in this fire. It is estimated that the loss due to the fire is in lakhs of rupees.
