Recently a major accident was averted at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Air India flight AI-807 returned after a fire broke out in its AC unit, following which an emergency was declared in the entire airport. There were 175 passengers on this flight.
According to the information received, this flight was going from Delhi to Bangalore. The fortunate thing is that there was no loss of life in the accident. The plane took off for Bengaluru but after some time the fire alarm of the plane started ringing. After this the plane was brought back to IGI Airport for emergency landing. An official of Delhi Airport said that arrangements are being made for the passengers to go to Bengaluru.
According to the report, an official of Delhi Airport said that the flight has returned to Delhi and has landed safely. All passengers and crew on board the aircraft landed safely on the airbridge.
