Fire broke out in 4 acres of wheat crop standing in the field near Jamauli village


Auraiya, 11 April (HS). On Thursday, near Jamauli village under Kanchausi Chowki area of ​​the district, a fire broke out in the standing wheat crop due to sparks coming from the electric wires and electric poles coming out from above the fields. The crop of 4 acres of farm owner Rajesh Gupta alias Babban resident of Kanchausi was burnt to ashes in no time.

Local people standing next to the fields said that the fire was caused by sparks from the electric wires passing over the fields. For the past several days, the wheat crops of farmers in many villages of the district have been burnt to ashes. When this information was given to Gail Fire Brigade. On receiving the information, fire department vehicles along with fire department personnel reached the farm. On reaching there, fire brigade personnel with the help of local people tried to extinguish the fire, but by then it was too late. During this time, fire brigade personnel had to work hard to control the fire in the afternoon. The power supply from Biharipur power station was also stopped in a hurry, but by then it was too late. Within no time, 30 bighas of wheat crop of farm owner Rajesh Gupta was burnt to ashes. Farmer Rajesh Gupta has demanded compensation from the administration to compensate for the loss.
