Varanasi, 22 April (HS). A massive fire broke out on Monday in a book warehouse located near Maldahiya Phoolmandi in Sigra police station area. There was chaos on the spot due to the flames and smoke coming out of the warehouse. By the time the firefighters could control the fire, books worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed. Neighboring houses were also damaged in the fire. During this time, a crowd of pedestrians also gathered on the road. There is a warehouse of Krishna Book Agency in English Line near Phoolmandi in Maldahiya.
Suddenly a fire broke out in the warehouse early in the morning. In no time it took a monstrous form. The flames from the warehouse also reached the adjacent shops. On receiving information about the fire, warehouse owner Vinod Yadav along with police and fire brigade team also reached the spot. The fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control after a lot of effort.
