Prayagraj, 15 February (HS). Allahabad High Court has canceled the FIR registered against Mohammad Chand Babu, resident of Handia Prayagraj, on charges of kidnapping the victim.
The court said that the victim petitioner left the house of her own free will and married the accused Chand Babu. A baby girl has also been born. Both are living a happy life. In such a situation, there is no possibility of getting punishment for the crime. Therefore the FIR deserves to be quashed. This order has been given by the division bench of Justice MC Tripathi and Justice Gajendra Kumar while accepting the petition of Mrs. Jyoti Kushwaha and Mohammad Chand Babu.
The petitioner said that both are adults. The victim has married of her own free will and is living together. Therefore, a case of kidnapping is not made out against the second petitioner. Because the victim has not been taken forcibly. On this the court canceled the FIR.
