Shimla, May 18 (HS). A case of keeping cows hungry and thirsty has come to light in Sunni police station area adjacent to Shimla city.
Complainant Vidya Thakur told the police that she had sold the cow to a person named Hemdas on December 21, 2023. Whereas the said person brought this cow back at night last few days and tied it to a tree on the roadside near the complainant's house and left it abandoned. Hemdas has done a very cruel thing to the cow by leaving it tied to a tree, hungry and thirsty.
Sunni SHO Ramlal Sharma, who is investigating the case, said that the police have registered a case under Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and are taking action.
