YouTuber Dhruv Rathi is once again in the news. Maharashtra Police has registered an FIR against Dhruv Rathi. Dhruv is accused of posting on social media about Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's daughter Anjali passing the UPSC. An FIR has been registered against him for this post. A case has been registered against Dhruv Rathi under sections of the Indian Penal Code including defamation, tarnishing the country's international image, disturbing peace and IT.
Case filed against Dhruv Rathi
Anjali's cousin Naman Maheshwari has filed a case against Dhruv Rathi. In his complaint, he said that in 2019, Anjali had cleared UPSC in the very first attempt. However, Dhruv Rathi not only defamed Anjali internationally but also used Anjali's photo without permission. Dhruv Rathi wrote in a post on the social media platform that Om Birla's daughter Anjali Birla passed UPSC without any exam, she is a model by profession, Modi government is making a mockery of our education system.
