Dowry Demand: It is alleged that before the engagement a demand of Rs 20 crore was made, which later came to Rs 15 and then Rs 5 crore. In the end, the father fixed the marriage as per his capacity for around Rs 1 crore (including cash and jewellery).
Physical and mental harassment: The father claims that Divya was continuously harassed since her marriage. In December 2025, he was fatally attacked and attempts were made to kill him by strangulation several times.
Blackmailing and Tantra Mantra: The in-laws have been accused of usurping the daughter’s ‘stridhan’, threatening to ruin her career by making obscene videos and even forcing her to perform black magic.
