If found misusing water repeatedly, your water connection can be cut and action can also be taken to seal the building. On Sunday, such people were fined.

Municipal Corporation teams inspected several areas simultaneously in the morning. Over a dozen violators who misused drinking water were challaned and fined up to Rs 2000. The campaign against those who misuse water will continue in the future as well. Due to misuse of water by some people, water does not reach all the people, due to which they have to face problems. Municipal Corporation Gurugram is working seriously towards providing water to the last point and in the places where drinking water supply is disrupted due to some reason, water is being supplied through tankers. For this, ward wise junior engineers and supervisors have been assigned responsibilities and their mobile numbers have been made available to the general public through various means.

Gurugram Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar said that no citizen should misuse drinking water, rather adopt water conservation measures so that water supply to every citizen can be ensured. He said that washing vehicles and courtyards and watering the garden with drinking water is prohibited and action is being taken by the Municipal Corporation against those who do so. Under this, challans have been issued to many violators on Sunday. If a person is found violating the rules repeatedly, then action can be taken to cut off his water connection as well as seal his building.

The Municipal Commissioner said that citizens should send complaints related to drinking water and sewerage on WhatsApp helpline number 7840001817. Instructions have been given to the officers to ensure immediate solution of the complaint sent. Along with this, information about those misusing drinking water should also be sent on this helpline number along with photographs, address and location, so that action can be taken against those doing so. He appealed to the citizens not to waste water, but to save it.
