Ranchi, June 21 (HS). Chief Minister Champai Soren said that it is the government's resolve that no student of the state should be deprived of higher and technical education due to financial constraints. Many schemes have been started by the state government in this direction. He instructed the officials to ensure that the poor and meritorious students here get the benefits of these schemes easily.

The Chief Minister held a high-level meeting of the Higher and Technical Education Department in the Jharkhand Ministry on Friday. He launched the “Go Live of Student Application Module” of the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. Under this, students who have been selected for higher education institutions will be able to apply online. After this, they will be provided an education loan of up to Rs 15 lakh by the banks with which the government has signed an agreement for this scheme.

Students should get full benefit of flagship schemes

The Chief Minister said that the government has started many schemes for students like Guruji Credit Card Scheme, Chief Minister Education Promotion Scheme and Manki Munda Scholarship Scheme. Poor and needy students should get the benefit of these schemes. The Chief Minister said that the government is trying to ensure that the lack of money does not become an obstacle for the children here in pursuing courses like medical engineering, fashion designing, journalism and law along with coaching for competitive exams.

Students should get excellent higher education in the state

The Chief Minister emphasized on improving and improving higher and technical education in the state. He said that a large number of students from here go to other states for higher education. In such a situation, we will have to make efforts to ensure that there is a strong system of campus placement along with quality education in the higher education institutions here so that the students here can get a good job by getting a good education in their own state.

Speed ​​up the construction work of higher education institutions

The Chief Minister said that construction work is going on in various educational institutions along with many new degree colleges in the state. Speed ​​up the construction work of these buildings and complete it within the stipulated time frame so that the teachers and students here can get its benefit. He said that the government is opening many new colleges in towns, small cities and blocks so that the students here can get better and higher education near their homes.

Make the Tribal University functional soon

The Chief Minister directed the officials to make the Tribal University to be opened in Jamshedpur functional soon. He said that this university will mean a lot to this state. This will promote the tribal languages ​​here. In such a situation, complete all the processes including appointment for starting this university as soon as possible.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister took detailed information about the schemes related to higher and technical education. He gave clear instructions to the officials that whatever schemes are being implemented, they should yield better results.
