Lucknow, 3 October. Another important process towards strengthening the Home Guard force in Uttar Pradesh has been completed under the Yogi government. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRB) has released the final selection result of Enrollment-2025 for 41,424 posts of Uttar Pradesh Home Guards. District wise list of selected candidates is being made available on the board’s website uppbpb.gov.in.
The board had issued a release on 18 November 2025 inviting online applications for these posts of Home Guards. A total of 25,32,196 candidates had applied for these vacancies in various districts of the state.
This process of Home Guards Enrollment-2025 reaches the final selection after going through various stages of application, written examination, scrutiny of documents, physical standard test and physical efficiency test. With this, the process of filling the vacant posts earmarked for the Home Guard Force in various districts of the state has progressed.
Written examination conducted in six shifts
Under the selection process, written examination was conducted in 74 districts of the state on 25, 26 and 27 April 2026. The examination was conducted in total six shifts. Due to the examination being held in different shifts, normalization of marks of the candidates was done as per the rules. After this, the prescribed marks of the documents related to the preferential qualifications that the candidates had submitted at the time of application were also added. On the basis of these marks, candidates were selected for further process.
1.07 lakh candidates reached the next stage
The board called a total of 1,07,221 candidates for document verification and physical standard test through the notification released on June 28, 2026. This number was approximately 2.6 times the advertised posts. The process of document verification and physical standards test was completed from 13 July to 7 August 2026. During this, along with checking the necessary documents of the candidates, the prescribed physical standards were also tested.
Physical efficiency test also completed
Candidates successful in document verification and physical standard test were included in the physical efficiency test. This examination was conducted from 15 to 26 September 2026. Candidates successful in the physical efficiency test were included in the final selection process.
District wise selection based on merit
For final selection, the normalized score obtained in the written examination and the prescribed marks obtained for preferential merit are added. After this, district wise merit was prepared as per the reservation rules applicable in the state. On the basis of this merit, the list of selected candidates against 41,424 posts has been prepared. Selected candidates can check their result on the official website of the board, uppbpb.gov.in.
Rules fixed for even those with equal marks
According to the board, the district wise superiority of two or more candidates scoring the same marks was determined as per the rules under the Uttar Pradesh State Home Guards Enrollment Guideline prescribed in the Government Order dated November 3, 2025. In this, preference was given to older candidates and in similar situations, the English alphabetical order of the name recorded in the high school certificate was taken as the basis. All 41,424 candidates have been selected against the total 41,424 vacant posts in 75 districts of the state.
