Jaipur, September 18 (HS). Troubles of Heritage Corporation Mayor Munesh Gurjar are increasing day by day in the corruption case. After the order of the High Court, the government had approved prosecution against Mayor Munesh Gurjar. Now the government is preparing to suspend Munesh Gurjar from the post. A meeting was also held on Wednesday regarding this. Autonomous Governance Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra held a meeting with the officials and discussed this matter.
Autonomous Governance Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra said that the file regarding the Munesh Gurjar case has reached my table. Now after discussing with the officials, we will take a final decision on this as per the rules. But whatever just action is there, it will be completed as soon as possible. Anyway, this case is pending in the court. In such a situation, it is not possible to say much on this matter at the moment. I will be able to comment on this only after seeing the file.
Whatever decision will be taken on Munesh Gurjar, only after this there will be a discussion with the councillors about the acting mayor. The councillor who has an understanding of politics and has educational qualifications will be chosen as the acting mayor. Congress councillors have also come to us against the current mayor. They have also accepted that our mayor has done a lot of corruption. In such a situation there will be no problem in appointing an acting mayor.
High court hearing is to be held tomorrow
In fact, the hearing on the sanction for prosecution against Munesh Gurjar is to be held after two weeks after taking it on record. Justice NS Dhadha gave this direction on the petition of Sudhanshu Singh Dhillon. After this, DLB took action and issued a notice on Wednesday, 11 September. In this notice, DLB gave three days' time seeking a reply on the corruption charges against Munesh. The mayor did not respond to this notice and filed a petition in the court on Tuesday evening against the action of the government. In such a situation, now the government will have to take a decision against Mayor Munesh Gurjar on Thursday and respond to the court.
