Ranchi, 16 November (Hindu). A case of fighting between two groups of students in BIT College located in Mesra OP area has come to light on Saturday. A student has died in an incident of fighting. This incident took place late night on 14th November in the Polytechnic Department of BIT College.
According to the information received regarding the incident, there was a fight between two groups of students in the Polytechnic Department, in which one student, Raja Kumar Paswan, was seriously injured. Raja Paswan was a resident of Kokar Khorha Toli.
His colleagues admitted him to RIMS Hospital in critical condition. Where he died during treatment late on Friday night.
On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and are busy investigating the matter. On the other hand, the family members of the deceased student are creating ruckus after reaching the college on Saturday. They are demanding strict action against the people involved in this incident. The police pacified them and assured them of taking action against the culprits.
Police station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar said that a medical board has been formed and the body has been sent for post-mortem. A case of murder will be registered based on the statement of the family members regarding the matter. At present the entire matter is being investigated.
